Heavyweight Champion Antonio Rodrigo "Minotauro" Nogueira

Minotauro began training judo at the age of 5 years old and since has enjoyed a long and successful career in mixed martial arts. He achieved his black belt in judo and jiu-jitsu in 1999 when he won the Pan-American Jiu-Jitsu Championship. Nogueira rose to prominence in the Japanese Pride Fighting Championship (Pride FC) promotion, where he was the Pride heavyweight champion from November 2001 to March 2003, as well as a Pride FC Heavyweight Grand Prix finalist.

In 2007, Rodrigo won the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) heavyweight title. Today, he competes in the heavyweight division of the UFC, where he is the current interim heavyweight champion.
